Job Overview

Markets Operations Technology team is seeking a Senior AI System's Integration Engineer to lead a critical role in the development and integration of our cutting-edge Agentic AI EDGE application. This is a highly visible Vice President position that will be at the forefront of integrating advanced AI capabilities with various upstream and downstream systems across the firm.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Position: Vice President, Senior AI System's Integration Engineer
  • Leadership: You will be responsible for the leadership and management of a team of 3-4 Python engineers, overseeing their work and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Strategic Impact: This is a highly visible role where you will work on the critical EDGE application, interacting with senior stakeholders and technology partners across multiple business functions.
  • Architectural Ownership: You will have complete ownership and responsibility for designing the end-to-end integration architecture for the EDGE application, ensuring it is scalable, robust, and secure.
  • Stakeholder Management: You will liaise between key business and technology partners to define requirements, manage expectations, and ensure alignment on integration strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Design: Own and finalize the design of the architecture for integrating the EDGE application with various upstream and downstream systems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to drive execution, manage discussions, and ensure successful delivery of integration projects.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of 3-4 Python engineers, providing technical guidance, managing their deliveries, and fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
  • Technical Strategy: Provide thought leadership and strategic influence on the evolution of the integration platform. Exercise control over resources and planning to achieve long-term goals.
  • Best Practices: Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, provide solid technical input, and ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development, security, and code quality.
  • Execution and Delivery: Validate detailed requirements, work through complex solutions, and manage the execution and rollout of integration components, ensuring they meet project specifications and stakeholder expectations.
  • Governance: Ensure proper code governance using GIT/Bitbucket and maintain high standards for code quality and test coverage using tools like SonarQube and security scanning utilities.
  • Infrastructure: Drive infrastructure assessment, forecasting, and setup for the application's integration needs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 12+ years of experience as a hands-on technical leader working on complex, distributed systems in a large-scale organization.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading, managing, and mentoring a team of software engineers.
  • Communication: Exceptional communicator with a proven ability to work with people, manage stakeholder relationships, and present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Systems Integration: Proven experience in designing and implementing robust integration solutions for complex, large-scale systems. Strong understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, API gateways).
