The Role
We are seeking a polished and highly professional Receptionist to be the face of our London office. This is a pivotal front-of-house role in which you will set the tone for every client and visitor interaction, ensuring a seamless and sophisticated experience from the moment they arrive.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to establish themselves within a world-class financial institution. The role will be offered on an initial six-month contract, with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Hours
This role operates on a rotating shift pattern: one week of 07:0016:00, followed by two weeks of 10:0019:00. We are looking for candidates available to commence in July 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with one other Receptionist to deliver an efficient and professional front-of-house service, welcoming clients and employees with warmth and professionalism
- Manage the switchboard, handling all incoming calls and ensuring messages are distributed promptly and accurately
- Assist in the coordination of meeting room bookings and diaries, ensuring there are no conflicts, duplications, or overlooked cancellations
- Set up and clear meeting rooms at the start and close of each day, ensuring they are consistently presentable, well-stocked with refreshments, and client-ready at all times
- Provide guests with refreshments and ensure a high standard of hospitality throughout their visit
- Assist in the preparation of meeting rooms for client and board-level meetings
- Manage incoming courier packages and post, ensuring prompt communication to the relevant members of staff
- Set up video conference calls as required
- Coordinate the ordering of business cards for new and existing employees
- Maintain tidy and well-stocked stationery areas at all times
- Assist with ad hoc printing, filing, and archiving as required
- Share responsibility for organising monthly birthday communications and celebrations
- Provide administrative support to the wider team as needed
- Assist with building management matters on an ad hoc basis
- Demonstrate flexibility with hours to provide cover during the other Receptionist's absence
In addition to the above, the successful candidate may be required to carry out other duties as reasonably requested.
