Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Converter Engineer to join our team in Porto, for an opportunity in the renewable energies industry. This role focuses on improving the reliability and performance of our client's electrical converters through detailed analysis of CIM cases, root cause investigations, and quality improvements. As a key contributor, you will guide design teams, oversee fleet quality enhancements, and foster a culture of excellence and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement improvements on the Converter according with CIM (Continuous Improvement) cases and Root causes analyses
  • Guide project design teams in Design for Reliability (DfR), including suppliers
  • Review and approve project design teams work
  • Oversee installed fleet quality improvements
  • Aspects such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and field failure data analysis through dotted-line reference
  • Instill a 'quality mindset' within the module and sub-modules. Provide guidelines and methodologies

Your Profile

  • Experience with CIM cases and root cause analysis in industrial environments.
  • +5 years of relevant experience in engineering and quality assurance practices for product design. Knowledge and experience in Systems Engineering
  • Education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering providing an efficient, fact-based approach
  • Proficiency in Design for Reliability, preferably with a 6-sigma black belt
  • Experience in Reliability testing and Design of Experiment
  • Competence in Tolerance Chain Analysis
  • Fluent in English
