Job Description

This senior leadership role is responsible for directing end-to-end supply chain operations for an automotive OEM in Aguascalientes, Mexico, with accountability for planning, logistics, material flow, customer fulfillment, and operational transformation.

The Senior Director will lead strategic and day-to-day execution across plant, regional, and cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity, production stability, cost performance, and customer service excellence in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

This role partners closely with manufacturing, procurement, finance, engineering, quality, and commercial leaders to align supply chain performance with business objectives, support new model activity, and strengthen operational resilience across the network.

The position requires a proven leader who can operate effectively at executive level, drive continuous improvement, and build high-performing teams in a complex, multicultural automotive setting.

Job Description - Grade Specific

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations for the site and connected network, including demand planning, supply planning, material control, inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and customer fulfillment.

• Define and execute the supply chain strategy to support production continuity, launch readiness, inventory optimization, service performance, and cost competitiveness.

• Partner with plant leadership and regional supply chain teams to align capacity, production scheduling, parts availability, transportation flows, and customer delivery requirements.

• Lead the S&OP / integrated business planning cadence for the area of responsibility, ensuring clear trade-off decisions across demand, supply, inventory, and service.

• Oversee supplier and logistics performance to reduce shortages, improve delivery reliability, and strengthen response to demand volatility, supply disruption, and launch changes.

• Drive performance against critical KPIs such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, inventory health, premium freight, backorders, logistics cost, and customer service metrics.

• Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives focused on process standardization, digital enablement, planning maturity, warehouse and transportation efficiency, and cost reduction.

• Ensure strong governance with internal stakeholders and external partners, including 3PLs, carriers, warehouses, and critical suppliers, to deliver service, compliance, and continuous improvement.

• Own the operational budget and support financial targets through disciplined inventory management, logistics productivity, working capital improvement, and risk-balanced decision making.

• Support new vehicle and parts program launches by ensuring readiness of planning parameters, material flow, packaging, logistics routes, capacity, and supplier execution.

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing organization across planning, logistics, customer service, and operational support teams, with strong focus on accountability, problem solving, and talent development.

• Champion a customer-focused culture that balances OEM production requirements, dealer or distribution service expectations, and quality, cost, and delivery commitments.
