About the Job you are considering:
This role focuses on delivering business analysis and change initiatives within Investment Banking and Financial Services, with a particular emphasis on Global Markets data, reporting, and process transformation. The position requires a strong understanding of front-to-back business processes and how data flows across systems to support operational, regulatory, and management reporting.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role
Business Analysis
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst/System Analyst.
- Ability to gather, interpret, and document business requirements.
- Convert business requirements into detailed IT requirements.
- Analyze existing ('As-Is') systems and create specification documents for future-state solutions.
- Experience working with SMEs, Architects, Developers, Testers, and Business Analysts.
- Ability to create UML Sequence Diagrams.
- Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Data-Focused Skills
- Data Mapping and Data Lineage Analysis.
- Data Analysis and Data Investigation.
- Data Design and Data Modelling concepts.
- Identification and resolution of Data Quality issues.
- Understanding of Reference Data and Enterprise Data domains.
- Ability to assess downstream impacts of data changes.
- Support Data Governance and Operating Model activities.
Your Skills
Investment Banking / Financial Services Experience
- Experience in Investment Banking or Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of Global Markets.
- Front-to-Back business process knowledge.
- Understanding of how data supports reporting, controls, and operational processes.
- Cross-border program experience is desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL querying skills.
- Comfortable analyzing, reconciling, and investigating large datasets.
- Ability to interpret and validate data rather than build data pipelines.
- Experience with tools such as Hypercube is advantageous.
