About the role
At Rabobank, our Technology team within the COO Domain plays a critical role in enabling & supporting the business across Australia & New Zealand. From secure digital infrastructure to scalable data & technology solutions, we drive innovation, resilience, & business performance.
We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst - Data to join our Data & Analytics Platform team & help deliver our local data platform initiatives. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders & technical teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions that enable smarter decision-making across the organisation.

What You'll Do
- Partner with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, & document business & data requirements
- Translate business needs into clear functional & technical specifications
- Perform data analysis, mapping, validation, & reconciliation activities
- Support data, reporting, & analytics initiatives from discovery through to UAT & implementation
- Facilitate workshops & drive alignment across business & technology teams
- Deliver actionable insights that improve business outcomes & decision-making
- Champion data quality, governance, & continuous process improvement
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, & business SMEs to deliver successful outcomes
To be successful you will have:
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data-focused Business Analyst
- Strong experience gathering, analysing, & documenting business & data requirements
- Advanced SQL skills & experience working with large & complex datasets
- Experience translating business requirements into practical data & technology solutions
- Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, & communication skills
- Knowledge of data governance, master data management, data lineage, metadata management, & data stewardship
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, & analytics ecosystems.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across business & technology
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance will be highly regarded
