Job Summary**

BP Exploration (Epsilon) is seeking a skilled Process & Process Safety Engineer to optimize process operations and ensure the highest safety standards across our facilities. This role involves applying process engineering principles to enhance efficiency and reliability, while rigorously upholding process safety protocols to protect personnel and assets.

Job Responsibilities**

* Develop and maintain process flow diagrams (PFDs) for various operational units.
* Conduct steady-state process simulations to identify optimization opportunities and troubleshoot operational issues.
* Design and implement effective alarm management strategies to minimize operational risks and improve response times.
* Provide expertise in the selection, operation, and maintenance of centrifugal pumps and other critical process equipment.
* Optimize distillation and separation processes to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
* Oversee water treatment processes to meet environmental regulations and operational requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and project engineering, to deliver integrated solutions.
* Lead and participate in process hazard analyses (PHAs) and other process safety studies.
* Develop and implement robust instrument and protective systems to prevent and mitigate process incidents.
* Effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences through clear presentations and written reports.
* Actively contribute to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
* Utilize influencing and conflict management skills to drive consensus and achieve project goals.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in process engineering and process safety within the oil and gas industry.
* Strong understanding of Alarm Management principles and best practices.
* Demonstrated expertise in the design and operation of Centrifugal Pumps.
* Proficiency in developing and interpreting Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
* Experience with Steady State Process Simulation software.
* In-depth knowledge of Distillation and Separation processes.
* Familiarity with Water Treatment technologies.
* Solid understanding of Instrument and Protective Systems.
* Excellent Collaboration and Communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated ability to Influence stakeholders and manage Conflict effectively.
* Commitment to promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workplace.
* Strong Presenting skills for technical information.
