About the Job
- Prime Services is one of the three main sub business units within the Global Equities division of BNP Paribas Global Markets Prime Services combines the historical strength in traditional Prime Brokerage services providing the following business offering (Financing, Prime Brokerage Services, Risk Management and Execution) top rated in Securities Lending, Client Service, Capital Introduction and more with the innovative DNA of the Equity Derivative franchise. This combination allows BNP to anticipate client needs and develop solutions to the problems they face.
Your Main Activities Are
- Automation tools for risk monitoring; analyzing internal and external client performance metrics across various dimensions; manage/execute adhoc projects for the desks
- Generate accurate risk summaries at position/client account/regional and global level for risk monitoring
- Analyze major swings in client portfolio and escalate them to management
Profile and Skills to Success
- Graduate degree in mathematics or engineering with strong analytical skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory (only applications in English will be considered)
- Excellent communication skills, show initiative to engage with teams spread across regions
- Excellent Excel skills (experience in VBA, SWL), python (preferred)
- Confident and able to deal with senior managers & cross cultural teams
- Willingness to work late, i.e., New York hours
- Ability and agility to work under pressure
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail, ability to raise problems immediately to the broader team when necessary
- Consider risk in daily activities and abide by the Key Front Officer Responsibilities and GM Principles and Guidelines
About The Team
- Within Prime Services, the Risk Management team manages the portfolio risk for the business and the amount of leverage that we can offer clients. The team works in close collaboration with other functions within the business (such as sales, securities lending, client management) and with transversal teams such as Credit Risk Management and Exposure Management Group. The team in Lisbon will support the desk in effectively managing the client financing risk for the business. Specific responsibilities are listed below.
