About the job

  • We are looking for a motivated and dynamic trainee to join the Models and Simulations for You (MS4U) platform in Lisbon.This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quantitative analytics, project management, data analysis, and process improvement within an international banking environment. The trainee will contribute to strategic initiatives related to stress testing, model monitoring, quantitative tools, and business transformation

Your Main Activities Are

  • Support the coordination and monitoring of transversal projects and initiatives

  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, dashboards, and management materials

  • Participate in quantitative analyses related to stress testing, model performance, and risk metrics

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of reporting tools and data quality controls

  • Support automation and process improvement initiatives using analytical tools and programming languages

  • Participate in meetings and workshops, ensuring follow-up of actions and deliverables

  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing activities across teams

  • Explore innovative solutions, including AI-assisted tools, to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Currently enrolled in a Masters or final year in Quantitative Finance / Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering / Data Science / Economics or related
  • Advanced level of English, both written and oral
  • Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, VBA, Power BI, or similar tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to a dynamic environment
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail and results-driven mindset
