About Business line/Function: Asset Management Position Keeping

Position Purpose: 

BNP Paribas Asset Management is part of BNP Paribas Group and is responsible for the process of managing and monitoring assets, on behalf of individual and corporate clients.  BNPP AM offers funds and mandates towards his clients.  These funds & mandates are managed by Portfolio Managers, who are based in the different locations across the globe. 

Investment Operations is responsible for handling and monitoring all services, in order that the Portfolio Managers are able to manage daily their portfolios. Corporate Actions Operations is one of the teams within Investment Operations responsible for booking Corporate Events impacting our positions.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

1.       Cross-checking corporate event information received with other data sources

2.       Analyzing the corporate event to anticipate any reporting or processing issues.

3.       Perform processor functions for all manual activities related to custody functions.

  1. Able to setup Corporate Actions events for the respective teams by analyzing and understanding the SWIFT messages without any error at high standards.
  2. Should be well versed in corporate actions eligibility rules and analyze whether the particular client / trade is eligible for the CA. 
  3. Should be able to comfortably process the payments (Security & Cash) from MT 566 messages received without error and within specified time bound.
  4. Should be able to create instructions (Manual Instructions also) and deposit the message with due -diligence and accuracy.

Contributing Responsibilities

1.       Complete commitment to provide professional and prompt responses to meet clients requirements. 

2.       Communication : 

         Oral: Expressing ideas effectively in individual and group situations. Adjusting communication style to match the needs of the audience.

         Written: Expressing ideas clearly in all written documents. Using professional, appropriate language always and adhering to the use of the BNPP Email protocols

3.       Expertise in Using Banking Softwares & overall awareness of using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

  1. Able to clearly understand and envisage the SWIFT messages (MT564, MT565, MT567, MT568, MT599 etc). The Associate should read through the SWIFT message very comfortably and act on the amendments in the message ( Field - 23C: NEWM / REPL / CANC/ REVR etc)
  2. Highly motivated and self-driven to meet the management objectives.

Specific Qualifications:

         Total of 1 to 2 years of experience in a financial organization ideally with knowledge on corporate Actions & Income

         Working experience with the most important data providers: Bloomberg, Telekurs, Reuters.

         Candidates should be willing and flexible to work in any shifts

         In depth understanding on the system functionalities. The applications we use and data retrieval from vendors.

         Trouble shooting skills set to run smooth BAU.
