Full Job Description
THE WORK:
- You'll manage procurement efforts for owner-furnished equipment on data center projects, ensuring compatibility with project design, timelines, and performance goals.
- You'll maintain relationships with vendors, including OEMs, distributors, and specialty suppliers, for critical infrastructure like generators, chillers, UPS systems, PDUs, CRACs, switchgear, and high-voltage equipment.
- You'll assist in tracking production schedules, shipping milestones, and on-site delivery coordination alongside construction managers and trade contractors.
- You'll contribute to creating bid and leveling packages for OFCI equipment, emphasizing logistics, warranty terms, lead times, total cost, and commissioning requirements.
- You'll participate in competitive sourcing for OFCI packages: support drafting RFIs and RFPs, handle vendor inquiries, review proposals, and compile summaries for stakeholder recommendations.
- You'll work with internal teams to outline technical and performance requirements for OFCI packages; aid engineers in preparing documentation for accurate vendor scoping.
- You'll collaborate with construction, design, and development teams to synchronize OFCI procurement schedules with fast-paced project timelines and construction phases.
- You'll join scope review discussions and vendor negotiations, helping ensure contracts align with project demands for reliability, uptime, and delivery timelines.
- You'll monitor and report on procurement progress across projects, covering commitments, cost impacts, change orders, and remaining exposure.
- You'll stay updated on supply chain trends for power and cooling equipment, assisting in spotting potential risks to pricing or schedules and proposing solutions.
- You'll aid in resolving equipment-related issues, such as delivery delays or commissioning challenges, and support escalation for vendor performance concerns.
- You'll help prepare closeout documentation and facilitate warranty onboarding for OFCI assets to ensure a seamless handover to operations and facilities teams.
- Remote: This role allows for remote work for the majority of your work hours.
- With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
