Were looking for an exceptional Payment Product Operations Specialist to join our North America Payment Operations team right here in Austin. This is a dynamic position where you will sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Operations. You will be the architect of our scalability in the USD and CAD markets, transforming complex payment hurdles into seamless, automated systems.

This isn't a traditional operations role. Its for someone who thrives in an environment of fast-paced growth and autonomy, whose simple but ambitious goal is to make our North American payment rails so efficient they feel seamless for our customers.

Heres how youll be contributing:

• Scale the "Unscalable": Audit our USD/CAD payment routes to identify manual friction. You won't just report on problems; youll build the automation and workflow improvements to eliminate them.

• Bridge the Gap: Act as the strategic connective tissue between Product, Engineering, and Ops teams. Youll translate technical constraints into operational reality and vice versa.

• Own the Lifecycle: Lead high-impact projects from initial scoping and data analysis to final rollout. You own the "Go" button.

• Drive Data-Informed Strategy: Use SQL and LightDash to define and track the KPIs that matter. Youll prove your impact through metric improvements.

• Amplify the Team: Act as a key mentor and strategic partner to Senior Specialists, guiding them through complex project delivery, scoping, and execution. Elevating the team's capabilities is a defining part of your impact.

• SME Leadership: Serve as the North American subject matter expert. When a complex payment incident or a new regulatory shift hits, you are the first-line strategist for mitigation and resolution.

• Build the Blueprint: Establish SLAs and KPIs for new product features, ensuring that as Wise grows, our quality never wavers.

• Do Mission-Driven Work - Every manual task you automate and every process you improve directly impacts our customers. We aren't just moving decimals; we're improving the experience of our customers' money movement.

• You have delivered mid-sized projects working with engineers or other product or operational teams and can demonstrate clear impact on your projects. You have previous experience making improvements to a product or service.

• You know how to use different process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma) and have gone through training.

• You have a track record of achieving targets and goals, setting and monitoring success.

• You are able to clearly articulate, simplify and scope problems, and follow through to completion. You can identify gaps in processes and show initiative to independently solve new issues.

• You have the technical understanding of the product and payment operations processes and the ability to apply it to develop and/or recommend solutions.

• You listen and empathize with the customer and team challenges. You are passionate about finding solutions that impact Payment Operations teams and customers positively.

• You are comfortable getting your own data, building dashboards using BI tools like Looker. You can work with data and customer insight to learn about problems, and scope and measure impact of problems and solutions.

• You have the ability to measure all solutions against cross team and customer impact; ability to magnify customer impact by identifying if solutions can be globalized to other teams/products.

• You can communicate with different levels of stakeholders, from senior leadership to specialist level and know how to tailor your communication for the right audience.

• You consider and map mission impact when scoping new projects.

• You are comfortable providing feedback and speaking out if actions or solutions go against Wises principals/mission and when initiatives/projects drive unnecessary risks.

• You actively seek stakeholder feedback and empathize with viewpoints and feedback from others.

• This is a hybrid position located in Austin, Texas, and not fully remote (minimum 3 days at office). You must be able to commute to the office.
