Collaborate directly with business support and accounting teams to build and support market-focused analytical tools. Analyse ongoing business and user requirements and independently manage various project lifecycles from end-to-end.

Modernize the automation landscape within the team by migrating existing workflows. Implementation of clean, well-documented, tested, and extensible code to satisfy those requirements. Turn user feedback into actionable design improvements and bug fixes. Suggest innovative and reliable technical solutions to the business. Help upskill the desk regarding coding best-practices and ensure mission-critical scripts are adequately productionized.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science or a related field and 2 years of experience in data engineering. OR Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science or a related field and 1 year of experience in data engineering.
  • 2 years of experience (with Bachelors) or 1 year of experience (with Masters) to include:
    • Full stack Python development;
    • Python libraries for full stack development including Fast API, Plotly Dash, Streamlit, SQLModel & Pydantic
    • Relational SQL databases
    • Writing SQL queries
    • React, HTML5, or JavaScript
    • TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark, Hadoop, scikit-learn, PowerBI, Tableau, or Selenium
    • Designing and implementing data pipelines to automate data collection and analytics;
    • Building machine learning models to predict commodity pricing using regression and time series analysis.
