Role Summary
This role oversees the development of objectives, policies and procedures for procurement and sourcing operations to ensure operational efficiency. Additionally, this role drives strategic sourcing initiatives and strengthens vendor partnerships to optimize cost, quality, and service outcomes.

Responsibilities
1. Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
2. Oversees sourcing operations by drafting, reviewing, analyzing, modifying and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts
3. Acts as escalation point for issues with contract negotiations, providing guidance to inform decisions.
4. Contributes to the development and improvement of form agreements and templates to streamline negotiation process.
5.Interprets and communicates contract requirements, obligations, and risk exposures to key stakeholders, including sourcing professionals and business leaders.
6. Educates key stakeholders about commercial, legal, policy and other considerations in support of the negotiation process.
7. Ensures benefits from advantageous contract terms as a trusted authority based on deep legal contracting and procurement expertise.
8. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to facilitate obtaining optimal contract terms while mitigating risk. Maintains close working relationship with legal counsel.
9. Develops and executes strategic sourcing plans to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.
10. Monitors supplier performance and drives continuous improvement through performance reviews and SLAs.
11. Ensures compliance with organizational procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
12. Leverages procurement tools and analytics to improve decision-making, spend visibility, and reporting.
13. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualification & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree (such as B.Com, BBA, B.E./B.Tech, or equivalent) or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred. Graduate degree (such as MBA in Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent) preferred.

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguards India office. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
