Full Job Description
| Do you have a tax background in financial services or a chartered accountancy or law firm? Do you have a knack for breaking down complex issues to reach clear and concise conclusions? Are you able to interact with senior stakeholders and regulators? Were looking for someone with tax expertise to help us: provide tax advice to the business divisions including Investment Bank, Asset Management and Global Wealth Management across UBS in Japan regarding new business and change initiatives and complex transactions monitor tax reform issues impacting UBS interact effectively with senior management and staff across the different areas within the organisation manage relationships with tax authorities review tax effect accounting calculations and workpapers. This includes annual statutory reporting, and quarterly local and Swiss reporting work with the external service provider and Finance in supporting the annual corporate income tax process. Review the annual corporate income tax returns for all legal entities, including all disclosures, for the legal entities in jurisdictions under your responsibility review the annual transfer pricing documentation for the jurisdictions under your responsibility review the annual local files under country by country reporting rules provide technical tax support into the wider APAC tax team where required, including supporting sign off to APAC Regional Tax for business advisory and new business initiatives | Show more Head of Tax, Japan |
