Main Purpose:

Trafigura is looking to hire a junior HSE Analyst for the HSEC/ESG function in Argentina, to support the business in HSE data quality management, reporting and environmental regulatory compliance. The position will help ensure that all ESG and environmental data is fully traceable and supported by transactional documentation in line with CSRD requirements, uploaded to the relevant platform and formally validated according to internal procedures to ensure audit consistency. It will also support environmental due diligence for new prospects and business expansion projects including Phase I and Phase II as well as internal HSE regulatory compliance control, which requires continuous corporate monitoring and close coordination with operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the business in collecting, reviewing and ensuring the quality of ESG and environmental data across local operations.
  • Ensure all ESG data is traceable and supported by transactional documentation, uploaded to the corporate platform and validated according to internal procedures to guarantee audit consistency (CSRD compliance).
  • Support environmental data collection and documentation for new prospects and the company's expansion projects.
  • Support HSE regulatory compliance control, ensuring continuous corporate monitoring and close coordination with operational sites.
  • Prepare periodic reports and support internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with operational areas and external consultants and laboratories to ensure that documentation deadlines and standards are met by each site and business.
  • Identify and help implement opportunities to streamline and improve data processes, including new technologies and AI solutions.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Degree or advanced studies in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, or a degree in a related field such as Natural Sciences or Geology, or any other engineering degree with a specialisation in Environmental Management.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop.
  • Comfortable and proficient with technology and data tools; an interest in automation and AI is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • English proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple sites and tasks in parallel.
