Strategic Advisory & Solutions Internship Programme 2027  

 

The Strategic Advisory & Solutions (SAS) team is a global advisory platform within Corporate & Investment Banking. They partner with corporate and financial institution clients across multiple sectors and regions to deliver strategic advice on complex capital structure, financing and sustainability decisions. 

 

Bringing together expertise across Capital Structure & Rating Advisory, Transition Finance & Advisory and Islamic Banking, SAS operates in a product and sector agnostic manner, combining deep analytical capabilities with the Banks global network to deliver tailored, outcome-driven solutions. 

 

With presence across all Standard Chartereds key markets, the team works closely with coverage, product and sector teams to originate opportunities, unlock balance sheet capacity and drive revenue growth for the Bank.

 About the Internship Programme how youll learn and grow  

 

Join a skills-first organisation where your potential matters more than your background.  Over 10 weeks, youll work on real business challenges, build future-ready skills, and gain insight into how we support clients, facilitate trade and finance growth across our markets. Working alongside colleagues across our global network, youll develop the skills, confidence and connections to accelerate your career. For many interns, this is the first step towards a graduate role with us. 

 

The programme will support your development through:

 

   A 10-week summer internship  

   A structured induction and orientation  

   Exposure to our products, clients and international network 

   Real projects and meaningful responsibilities from day one 

   Technical, professional and behavioural skills development 

   Support from managers, mentors and buddies 

   Opportunities to learn from senior leaders and industry experts 

   Community and volunteering initiatives.

Eligibility  

 

To be eligible for this internship, you should be a penultimate year student, able to intern in June 2027, and start full time in July 2028. You should have the permanent legal right to work in the country youre applying to.  

 

You can only submit one application within a six-month period, so take time to review our opportunities and apply for the role that best fits your interests, skills and career goals.

 

Exceptions 

 

   UK & UAE: Candidates requiring visa sponsorship will be considered.  

   UAE: Priority is given to UAE nationals.
