Full Job Description
Squarepoint Services US LLC seeks a Quantitative Researcher - Data Science for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Performing independent and collaborative research on statistical and probabilistic theories. Developing and maintaining effective and efficient computer programs that can be used for financial modeling. Actively collaborating with various teams within Squarepoint to update, optimize, and add new features to current models and workflows to accommodate the emerging demands and requests from the markets. Assisting teams senior quantitative researchers in building, validating, releasing, and maintaining highly complex automated predictive models.
Requirements: Must have a minimum of a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field of study and 2 years of experience as a Quantitative Researcher or related position for an investment/asset management organization focusing on probability, statistics, time series analysis, optimization, data science, and machine learning. Must have at least two (2) years of employment experience with each of the following required skills: Bayesian statistics; Optimization; Scientific computing/numerical analysis; Analyzing large datasets and fitting, evaluating, deploying statistical/ML models; Writing high-quality code in a collaborative setting
Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $150,000
Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $185,000
