Full Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically minded finance professional to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team at Squarepoint, a leading quantitative investment manager. The individual should have a solid understanding of financial data management and reconciliation, with experience working across finance systems and a confidence in ensuring data is accurate, well-structured, and fit for purpose. The role will focus on improving the quality and integrity of contract and financial data, as well as owning the tracking and loading of leasehold improvement spend, with outputs that directly improve the reliability of FP&A forecasting, reporting, and invoice processing across the business.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in data accuracy, enjoys investigating and resolving financial misalignments, and is motivated by the opportunity to create tangible and lasting improvements in data quality and process. The role offers real visibility across the finance function and the chance to work with a broad range of stakeholders, making a meaningful impact on the quality of information that underpins decision-making across the business.

  • Reviewing actual ledger postings against contract data to identify and resolve misalignments in financial attributions, ensuring contracts are correctly tagged at source across all relevant dimensions.
  • Reviewing contract run rates against contracted values, engaging with business owners to understand and document variances and revise contract values where necessary.
  • Reviewing inactive contracts to assess whether they should remain active, reducing noise in the data and improving forecast reliability.
  • Collaborating with the Technology team to explore opportunities to improve recording of contract data in a way that enables more granular and accurate reporting.
  • Working with external partners to ensure the monthly leasehold improvement trackers are completed accurately and capture all required information for FP&A and stakeholders.
  • Loading leasehold improvement data into the FP&A forecasting platform on a monthly basis, ensuring it reconciles correctly and is available for stakeholder reporting and analysis.

Required qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in a finance, FP&A, or financial control role, with a solid understanding of how financial data flows between systems and feeds into reporting and forecasting.
  • Experience reconciling financial data across systems, with the ability to identify root causes of misalignments and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships across all levels of the business.
  • High personal standards, strong attention to detail and a desire to exceed expectations.
  • An independent mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing processes and propose improvements.
  • A well-structured, proactive work ethic with the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A curious mindset and a natural interest in understanding the wider business.
  • Open to technology and motivated to find ways to streamline and improve processes.
  • Familiarity with LLM tools in either a professional or personal context.
  • Familiarity with a CRM or contract management system, and experience using a financial planning or EPM tool, would be advantageous.
  • Experience with data visualisation, including graphs and dashboards, would be advantageous.
