Responsibilities

Within Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, the Global Markets Division brings together the Research, Investment and Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Clearing, Prime Services, Equities, Fixed Income, Futures and Currencies & Commodities structuring capabilities with the objective of providing investors with one integrated multi-asset market solutions team. The business uses an advisory and innovation mindset, focused on client needs, with a global leader in financial markets engineering. Global Markets is a leading player in derivatives, with unrivaled over the counter and listed derivatives expertise, as well as cross-asset and economic research.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the day-to-day operational activities of the EQD Flow Sales desk across multiple products and workflows.
  • Coordinate trade booking, allocation, and post-trade processes with Sales, Trading, Middle Office, Back Office, and Documentation teams.
  • Execute and monitor operational workflows for ELNs, autocall swaps, EXO trades, and listed products.
  • Produce and maintain daily business and performance reports (blotters, sales credits, hit ratios, trading activity reports).
  • Assist with client onboarding, KYC processes, and account/static data setup in partnership with support teams.
  • Coordinate credit approval requests and follow-up with Risk, COO, and control functions.
  • Monitor and resolve operational issues to ensure accurate and timely trade processing.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Operations, Automation, and COO teams to support process improvements and workflow enhancements.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, system migrations, and operational efficiency initiatives across the desk

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master's degree from a Business/Engineering School or University

    with a specialization in Finance

  • A previous experience in Sales (trading floor) would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Operational, technical & soft skills:

  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office
     

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in New York is to begin January 1st, 2027, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business Frances eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
