Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities for this role include the following:

  • 1. Part of a team of BCM-Risk management professionals who manages Business Continuity for the Organization

  • 2. Contributes to the development and maintenance of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) program

  • 3. Develop, maintain, or implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions

  • 4. Plan, conduct, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans regularly

  • 5. Actively plan, coordinate quarterly BCM site down tests. Responsible for the compliance of testing policies for the BL

  • 6. Follow up on action items coming out of the site down tests

  • 7. Attend Internal/ external audits conducted in BCM space. Drive audit recommendations to closure

  • 8. Design BCM trainings and other awareness sessions

  • 9. Review reports for the tests conducted

  • 10. Represent BCM team across various forums

  • 11. Keeps assigned BL crisis ready with response plans and critical staff lists

  • 12. Explore opportunities for automation in BCM space

  • 13. Works on Continuous improvement of the BCM program for the BL

  • 14. Accountable for managing the BL Level CMT lists / maintaining Crisis ready staff lists

  • 15. Manages projects for the BCM team for the BLs assigned

  • 16. Plays key role in Crisis Management for the BLs assigned

  • 17. Works with high level of autonomy for the BLs assigned within the agreed BCM framework

  • 18. Responsible to make sure that right people are participating in the BCM trainings

  • 19. Drive monthly BCM Coordinator meetings

Profile required

  • Technical Competencies: Candidate at this level should have the following core technical skills:

    • a. Solid understanding of Business Continuity Management (BCM) processes and best practices

    • b. Solid knowledge on BCM lifecycle, Incident Management, Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery domains

    • c. Hands on experience on BCM / Crisis Management/ communication tools

    • d. Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel & Word)

    Behavioral Competencies: Candidate at this level should have the following behavioral skills:

    • a. 15-18 Years of dedicated BCM Experience

    • b. Excellent Communication, presentation & negotiation skills

    • c. Need good Analytical & Problem-solving skills

    • d. Should be a good team player

    • e. Ability to handle pressure during crisis

    • f. Ability to complete projects assigned within the deadlines

    • g. Experience in conducting training/ awareness sessions

    • h. Exposure to ERT

    Expected Educational background: Graduation (BSC, BE, BTECH etc.)

    Certifications preferred:

    • 1. ISO 22301 Lead Auditor

    • 2. CBCP: Certified Business Continuity Professional

    • 3. CBCI: Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute
