Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    Develop and expand relationships with private equity sponsors (focus primarily on energy and infrastructure sectors).  
    Develop and maintain marketing material promoting SG CIBs capabilities to secure new financing mandates, in cooperation with other departments involved (including other business lines, syndications, HYB, etc.) and support the development and delivery of pitches to clients and prospects.
    Assist in all aspects of the transaction execution, notably due diligence, credit analysis, modeling and financial structuring, credit approval process, drafting of financing offers, implementation of documentation.
    Cross sell capital markets, investment banking (IPO and M&A) and core banking products to sponsor clients.
    Keep abreast of the market in order to maintain structuring skills in line with market developments.
Other
    Organize or contribute to any other task needed in the context of the development of the activities of the department.

Profile required

Candidate will be a member of the Leveraged Finance team within Investment Banking (LBO).  The mission of the Banker is work, in partnership with the power and utilities team, to establish long-term relationships with private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, principally focused on the energy and infrastructure space.  The Leveraged Finance group is responsible for direct execution and structuring of (i) syndicated loan transactions to support leveraged buyouts, capital investment, acquisition financings, and refinancings, and (ii) other types of financings relevant to private equity sponsors, including margin loans and collateralized financing solutions.  The team group is also responsible for cross selling banking and investment banking products to its clients.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must Have: 
    10+ years experience in leveraged finance or investment banking
    Established private equity sponsor relationships
    Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and financial accounting concepts
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams
    Demonstrated work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
    Familiarity with credit documentation and the structuring of non-investment grade loan transactions
    Bachelors degree from a top tier College/University

Nice to Have:
    MBA

Role License Requirement:
    Series 7/79 and Series 63 certifications and formal credit training a plus

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
