Senior Financial Controller to Parent Bank Accounting & Reporting | SEB, Solna
Are you a senior financial controller with deep expertise in accounting and reporting, and the confidence to take ownership in a complex, regulated environment? Do you want to work close to the core of the Parent Bank, where accounting topics, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement are part of everyday work?
We are now looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join Parent Bank Accounting & Reporting within Group Finance at SEB.
Group Finance aims to deliver high-quality reports, decision-making data, and analyses to our many stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to run your own initiatives and be part of the strategic work needed to achieve the Group Finance common goals.
About the role
In this role, you will have end to end accountability for significant accounting and reporting areas within SEB AB, with a particular focus on trading related products.
As a Senior Financial Controller at SEB, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our finance organisation. You will be part of a high performing team, accountable for Accounting, Financial and Regulatory Reporting processes for SEB AB. This role includes:
Global accountability for our accounting and reporting processes related to trading products
Monthly, quarterly and annual closing of SEB AB, including analysis of financial statements to ensure high quality in our financial statements
Independently pursing ad hoc issues within accounting, reporting and our processes.
Driving the change and development agenda in close collaboration with stakeholders across SEB, both setting requirements and implementing global initiatives.
A Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent
Several years of experience within accounting and financial reporting in a banking or regulated financial environment
Solid experience of trading products and financial instruments accounting
Proven ability to drive change and development initiatives, from requirements definition to implementation
Experience working in cross functional and international settings
Strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and the confidence to take ownership
Fluency in English (Swedish is an advantage, but not a requirement)
As a person, you are structured, proactive, and collaborative. You communicate clearly, can challenge constructively, and you are comfortable interacting with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.
