Overview of Role

Rothschild & Co Bank AGs Information Security & Data Protection team is responsible for defining and overseeing the delivery of the information/cyber security strategy and data protection programme. The team is part of the wider Group Information Security within the Group Risk function. The role offers direct exposure to a regulated banking environment, with involvement in cybersecurity governance, third-party risk oversight, and regulatory-driven initiatives (e.g. FINMA, DORA).

The successful candidate will join the Information Security and Data Protection team within our Wealth Management division, with a preferred start date of 1 September 2026. The role will work alongside the InfoSec Officer and the Data Protection & InfoSec Specialist to provide operational support across both the cybersecurity and data privacy mandates.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for information security assessments and controls, third-party security risk assessments, and will support the maintenance of the data protection framework. The role will progressively take ownership of selected tasks under supervision, including coordination of additional responsibilities:

  • KPI/KRI reporting, including security metrics, and compliance dashboards for management
  • Security awareness support activities, newsletter content, and training coordination
  • Information Security Risk Management and control assessment activities

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
  • Up to 2 years of professional experience in information security, data protection, or related areas; relevant internships are equally valued
  • Basic understanding and awareness of information security frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST) and/or data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR, Swiss FADP)
  • Interest in the regulatory landscape (e.g. FINMA, DORA, SWIFT CSP) and willingness to develop expertise over time
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders and operate in a regulated environment with multiple priorities
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and proficent in German is a must; Italian and/or French are a plus
