About the role
Our Compliance team blends regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to make sure our products meet legal and policy requirements and deliver real value to customers. In a fast-moving, digital environment, they stay one step ahead by finding smart, scalable ways to manage conduct risk.
We're looking for an innovative Data Protection Officer to join the second line of defence. You'll apply your expertise in data protection compliance to design, lead, and improve the future of oversight and compliance.

What you'll be doing
- Maintaining and updating data protection policies, ensuring they're applied across operations and product lines
- Overseeing and supporting the identification and resolution of data protection risks
- Providing 2LoD advisory and challenge to business teams and 1LoD functions on products, processes, and controls
- Developing and supporting data protection training and awareness programmes for employees
- Monitoring, reporting, and escalating risk trends through dashboards and governance committees to inform senior management decisions
What you'll need
- 4+ years of experience in data protection
- An understanding of innovative financial services and banking products
- Knowledge of data protection frameworks, regulatory recommendations, and risk management in a complex financial organisation
- Familiarity with global requirements for data protection controls
- An understanding of industry-wide data protection practices and trends
- Expertise in identifying data risks and potential vulnerabilities, and advising on best practices to address those findings
- A track record of stakeholder management, and the ability to collaborate, negotiate, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Knowledge of key regulatory issues on data classification, data protection, and control assessment processes
- To be eager to develop your expertise in GDPR and Central Bank regulations
- A background in banking
