Join a leading international bank in Vienna and help shape the digital future of the financial industry in Central and Eastern Europe! We are a dynamic team of AI & data specialists in the Corporate & Investment banking (CIB) area of RBI, and were looking for an ambitious AI Engineer who prioritizes impact and business outcomes by developing AI solutions deeply integrated into the core of our CIB operations. With your expertise, we aim to take the next step in bringing AI solutions closer to our clients, creating seamless and secure banking experiences.

Your role at RBI:  

 

  • Collaborate closely with business units to redesign and transform core processes within the CIB area, leveraging modern AI frameworks and AI Agents with a clear, holistic, end-to-end process perspective
  • Develop and implement enterprise-grade AI software products (e.g., API solutions) following a strict governance framework, with a focus on scalability, low-latency performance and business usability
  • In a business-embedded approach, work closely with CIB specialists to understand business processes, data and daily challenges, unlocking the full potential of AI-driven innovation 
  • Shape innovative agentic AI banking solutions and co-create the operational governance framework of AI solutions  

 

Your core competencies: 

 

  • Consider yourself a Product Engineer rather than a Service Engineer with several years of experience in software development or AI/ML engineering 
  • Strong software development and DevOPS foundation with programming expertise in Python, Spark, or Scala
  • Experience with Databricks, Azure or AWS; hands-on management of CI/CD pipelines and testing (unit and integration tests)
  • Knowledge of software security concepts, such as penetration testing and OWASP principles  
  • Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, Autogen) and a strong understanding of product development using AI tools (LLMs and Agents), along with familiarity in MLOps and DataOps best practices; knowledge of data science concepts and machine learning is preferred
  • Highly motivated, proactive and analytical, with effective communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt quickly in agile teams and complex organizational environments
