Full Job Description
Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager, operating in all liquid asset classes across the world. We are looking for an experienced software engineer to help build, maintain, and support a framework used by quantitative researchers for research, testing, and production workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Your future role within QRT
- Develop and maintain core framework components, tools, APIs, and documentation
- Work closely with quant researchers day to day, helping them use the framework effectively and solving technical issues
- Translate researcher feedback into framework improvements
- Support production environment setup, dependency management, release processes, and deployments
- Work with infrastructure and production teams to troubleshoot deployment and runtime issues
- Follow up on production usage through monitoring, debugging, performance analysis, and optimization
Your present skillset
- Strong software engineering experience, ideally in Python and C++
- Experience building frameworks, libraries, tooling, or production systems
- Good knowledge of Linux, debugging, testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices
- Ability to analyze performance issues and production behaviour
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with quantitative researchers in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in quantitative finance, trading, research platforms, or data-driven systems
- Familiarity with backtesting, simulation, distributed computing, or production monitoring tools
