We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team in Amsterdam. This role is focused on designing, building, and operating the high-performance network infrastructure that underpins our global electronic trading platform.

Your future role within QRT:

  • Design, build, and operate high-performance, low-latency network infrastructure supporting electronic trading and colocation environments.
  • Deliver resilient WAN, datacenter, and exchange connectivity with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and automation.
  • Own network architecture across production trading environments, from high-level design through physical deployment and operational support.
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, network data models, and automation frameworks to enable repeatable, scalable deployments.
  • Design and support multicast, optical transport (DWDM/DCI), and production network segmentation for latency-sensitive trading systems.
  • Implement telemetry, monitoring, and observability solutions to improve network visibility and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with infrastructure, systems, and trading engineering teams, as well as strategic network vendors, to continuously evolve the platform.

Your present skillset:

  • 8+ years of experience designing and operating enterprise or trading network infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in high-performance, low-latency networking within production environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Arista and/or Cisco networking technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with multicast, routing, switching, optical transport (DWDM/DCI), and datacenter networking.
  • Experience building Infrastructure-as-Code and network automation solutions.
  • Strong understanding of network telemetry, monitoring, and troubleshooting at scale.
  • Experience supporting exchange connectivity or electronic trading infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of precision timing technologies (PTP/GPS) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working hands-on in production datacenters and travelling to colocation sites when required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering teams and external technology partners.
