We are looking for a strategic finance analyst help us take Nordeas Group-level strategic financial planning, execution and performance steering to the next level 

 

About our team 

 

As part of Group Finance, the Financial Planning team is a trusted advisor to senior management, Business Areas and Group functions to ensure the Groups strategy is translated into clear financial direction, disciplined execution and effective steering. As we are accelerating our journey on enabling Nordeas target achievements through actionable insight, you will have the opportunity and be expected to drive transformational impact at the highest strategic level.

What youll be doing 

 

In this role, you will act as a strategic finance analyst, combining strong financial expertise with a forward-looking execution-focused mindset and a strong ambition to drive positive change and to pave the way for the next level of financial planning and steering. You will be a centre piece in our high calibre Group-wide planning and proactive steering across P&L, our leading capital and funding advisory and lay a solid foundation for decision-making at the most senior level. You will also get the opportunity to drive strategic improvement initiatives within Financial planning and larger Group Finance. You will join a team based in Helsinki and Stockholm, has a group wide mandate and collaborates closely with stakeholders across Group Finance as well as Business Areas. 

 

The role offers unprecedented exposure across the Group and the opportunity to influence how strategy is executed and translated into both business and financial plans 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Drive and develop Group-level financial planning and forecasting 
  • Drive the change towards creating the next level of financial planning and steering 
  • Provide forward-looking analysis and scenario insights to support decision-making 
  • Translate strategy into financial plans, priorities and steering metrics 
  • Contribute to strengthening governance, structure and follow-up related to strategy execution 
  • Partner with CFOs and senior stakeholders across Business Areas and Group Functions 
  • Contribute to utilising new technologies such as AI to improve efficiency and impact 

 

Who you are 

 

  • This is the right role for you if you have a strong finance background and enjoy working at the intersection of strategy, execution and performance steering. 
  • 57+ years experience from financial planning, performance management, or strategy/management consulting within financial services 
  • A strong track record of successfully driving change and creating a positive impact 
  • Solid understanding of bank financials 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to connect detail with the broader strategic context 
  • Confidence to challenge, influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders 
  • Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent 
  • Professional proficiency in English
