In this dynamic role, you will ensure optimal transactional support, deliver exceptional customer service, manage operational risk, and drive continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive, and highly motivated professional who thrives under pressure, maintains a collaborative mindset, and delivers excellent results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Middle Office Associate, you will manage a portfolio of committed and uncommitted client files, enforce established procedures, mitigate risks, and champion best-in-class service for both internal and external stakeholders. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Deal Structuring & Credit Process Support: Participate in key phases of the credit life cycle, including pre-closing, closing, client processing, deal monitoring, and repayment.

  • Front Office Partnership: Attend pre-closing meetings for new deals as needed and provide ongoing analytical and operational support to the Front Office (FO).

  • Documentation & Compliance Review: Review credit and master purchase agreements to ensure strict alignment with credit approvals. Collaborate with the Deal Closing team to facilitate accurate booking in Loan IQ.

  • Transaction Lifecycle Management: Monitor deals closely from closing to termination. Safeguard files by saving all closing documentation in internal systems and tracking UCC filings.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Back Office team to ensure accurate transaction booking in Loan IQ by delivering complete documentation, backup files, and internal control verifications.

  • Financial Crime Prevention: Strictly adhere to internal procedures regarding financial crime prevention, including Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions and Embargo, Anti-Boycott, and Vessel/OFAC checks.

  • Covenant & Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor financial covenants and follow up on past-due items. Ensure covenant databases are updated in a timely manner, proactively contacting clients or agent banks for outstanding deliverables while maintaining regulatory reporting compliance.

  • Continuous Process Improvement: Maintain strong working relationships with Front Office, Operations teams, outsource providers, and internal control groups. Identify system and process bottlenecks, coordinate with IT and support teams to implement solutions, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new banking platforms.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 15 years of experience in commercial lending and asset-financing support management within a commercial bank is required.

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or a related business field; an advanced degree is preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.

  • Industry Knowledge:

    • A foundational understanding of Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance products.

    • A solid understanding of financial statements, with the ability to confidently calculate and interpret financial ratios.

  • Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, exceptional organizational skills, a proactive approach to risk management, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse global teams.

The salary range for this position will be between $105,000 - $125,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
