About the opportunity As an Intern in the Vendor Management Team at N26, you will support the team in managing and improving vendor partnerships that power our banking infrastructure and key operational services. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, regulated environment and contribute to the operational backbone of one of Europes leading digital banks. You will work closely with external providers and internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and contribute to strategic improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will
  • Support the Vendor Management team in daily collaboration with external providers, facilitating communication between vendors and internal teams on operational topics.
  • Manage access requests for external users, ensuring the correct tools and permissions are assigned and that technical issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparing and tracking SLA and KPI reports to monitor vendor performance, and support the creation of regular reports on vendor performance and key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Support compliance activities by collecting and reviewing documentation from external partners and ensuring processes align with internal standards.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and operational projects, including assisting with coordination tasks and exploring new tools and technologies.
  • Provide support on basic financial tasks, including invoice processing, purchase orders, and cost tracking.
  • Develop structured guidelines, checklists, and flowcharts to support text-based documentation and streamline vendor onboarding, compliance, and team operations.
What you need to be successful: Background:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of internship experience in vendor, account, or BPO management, or in client relationship or project management.
Desired:
  • Exposure to the finance or fintech industry through internships, projects, or studies.
  • Solid knowledge of Generative AI or Machine Learning (ML) is a plus.
  • Proven academic or project-based focus on Risk & Compliance or regulatory topics.
Skills:
  • Strong stakeholder communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects, partners, and deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and take ownership of new tasks and projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external providers.
  • C1 level proficiency in verbal and written English; German language skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
