Senior Marketing Specialist

Morningstar China


About the Role: We are looking for a high-impact marketing professional to drive Morningstar Chinas growth through integrated marketing initiatives across content, brand, and demand generation. This role plays a critical part in building Morningstars influence in the advisory ecosystem, scaling audience reach, and converting marketing efforts into measurable business impact.


Key Responsibilities

1. Audience & Ecosystem Growth

- Build and engage a high-quality audience base among financial advisors and institutions

- Develop and manage advisor and client communities to drive engagement and retention

- Collaborate with industry KOLs and partners to expand Morningstars ecosystem influence

2. Content & Brand Amplification

- Plan and execute multi-format content strategies (articles, video, podcast, livestream)

- Drive content distribution across key local channels (e.g., WeChat, video platforms, media)

- Co-create thought leadership content with internal experts and external partners

- Strengthen Morningstars positioning as a trusted voice in Chinas investment ecosystem

3. Demand Generation & Campaign Execution

- Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns (webinars, events, roadshows)

- Support lead generation and pipeline development in collaboration with sales teams

- Track campaign performance and optimize for lead quality and conversion

4. Event & Industry Engagement

- Plan and execute industry events and flagship initiatives (e.g., MIC China, summits)

- Manage event promotion, attendee engagement, and post-event conversion

- Leverage events to strengthen brand presence and generate qualified leads

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

- Partner closely with Sales, Product, Research, and Global Marketing teams

- Align marketing strategies with business priorities and product positioning

- Manage external vendors and media partners when required


Requirements

- 13 years of experience in marketing; financial services or B2B experience preferred

- Strong understanding of content marketing, digital channels, and campaign execution

- Ability to think strategically while maintaining strong execution capability

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Experience in event marketing and/or lead generation is a plus

- Fluent in Chinese and English
