Position Summary:

Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing is seeking a full-time experienced Analyst to join the MSREI India team to support a broad range of investment activities. The Analyst will have direct exposure to investment underwriting and evaluation, transaction execution and asset / portfolio management activities across real estate strategies. Responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluate and execute real estate investment opportunities across asset classes and transaction structures.
  • Build and maintain financial models, valuation and investment analyses.
  • Prepare investment memos, discussion materials and market analyses to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate market, business, legal, technical and financial due diligence with internal teams and external advisers.
  • Monitor existing portfolio investments, including operating performance, business plans, budgets and exit preparedness.
  • Build effective working relationships with portfolio company management teams, operating partners and internal stakeholders.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Strong academic track record; MBA from a top-tier institution or qualified Chartered Accountant, preferably with rank-holder credentials.
  • 13 years of relevant experience in investment banking, principal investing, real estate, private equity or consulting.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, accounting and Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex investment situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, respond quickly to evolving priorities and deliver high-quality output under tight deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of valuation concepts across real estate, equity, debt and hybrid investment instruments.
  • Demonstrated passion for investing and a strong interest in Indian real estate markets.
  • High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and strong ownership of work products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analyses clearly and concisely.
