Skills and Competencies
  • Minimum 3 years of contract-related experience, preferably within procurement, finance, legal, or sales support roles
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM and/or Apttus is strongly desired
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with high motivation to deliver quality outcomes in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and apply sound judgment when resolving issues or escalating concerns
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to build strong relationships, deliver top-tier customer service, and proactively manage expectations
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Responsibilities
This role manages the end-to-end contract lifecycle for renewals and new business, supporting a dedicated sales team while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a high-quality client experience throughout the sales cycle.
  • Manage the end-to-end contract process for renewals and new business, serving as the primary point of contact for contract strategy, drafting, and execution
  • Participate in regular sales pipeline review sessions to advise on optimal commercial approaches, set expectations, and proactively address potential contractual risks or challenges
  • Analyze account information, license parameters, and contract terms with exceptional attention to detail to support pricing, cross-selling, and renewal proposals
  • Independently draft all Tier 1 sales contracts (under $500K, or $250K for software) in accordance with internal policies, best practices, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
  • Exercise sound judgment throughout the contract drafting and negotiation process to resolve issues and deliver compliant, win-win solutions for both the business and clients
  • Maintain accurate and consistent client data across CRM and related systems, ensuring pricing, allocations, and transaction documentation are complete and correct at all stages of the sales cycle
  • Conduct primary reviews of executed contracts to validate accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to order submission
  • Facilitate contract changes or adjustments requested by Sales or clients, using discretion to determine the appropriate course of action
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Billing, and other stakeholders to review and align on complex contracts as needed
  • Ensure internal and external client inquiries are resolved in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of satisfaction and professionalism

Sales Operations supports the global Sales organization and the broader Moodys Analytics business throughout the lead-to-cash process, with a primary focus on RFP responses, contract drafting and negotiation, and sales booking. The team partners closely with stakeholders across the company to execute business strategy, meet client expectations, and ensure compliance with legal, financial, and internal policies. By joining Sales Operations, you will become part of a dynamic, collaborative global team that serves as a trusted advisor and an integral contributor to the success of the sales cycle.
