Skills and Competencies

  • 4+ years experience working in direct business-to-business sales roles with a focus on serving Corporate & Professional Services segments (e.g. Technology Media & Telecom, Industrial, Consumers, Professional Services, Energy, Life Sciences, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of different parts of the Corporate & Professional Services industries, including market dynamics and customers business drivers
  • Ability to present high-level information as well as deliver detailed demonstrations of products and services
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex sales cycles to successful conclusion through the use of consultative selling techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with senior executives both internally and externally
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.

Education

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (Bachelors degree) required
  • Coursework in business, economics, finance, marketing or related fields preferred

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for driving new business opportunities and managing complex sales cycles for Corporate customers within the Corporate & Professional Services segments.

  • Build and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales goals aligned with company objectives
  • Identify and qualify prospects, initiate new sales activities, and manage the end-to-end sales cycle to successful closure
  • Develop business within assigned territories and drive growth across Corporate customer segments
  • Partner with Product Specialists, Industry Practice Leads, and Solution Specialists to develop proposals and deliver targeted product demonstrations
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Product Strategy teams to enhance product quality and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients by identifying needs and recommending tailored solutions
  • Assess client requirements, provide strategic guidance, and deliver insightful product overviews
  • Act as a market expert and primary liaison between client service, customers, and implementation teams during the sales process
  • Coordinate responses to requests for product and service information from prospective clients
  • Represent the company at industry and company-sponsored events and contribute market insights internally and externally
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and introduce additional products and services relevant to client needs
  • Leverage AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and drive innovation within the role
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members and provide regular pipeline forecasts to management
  • Travel as required, approximately 20% to 40% of the time

The team contributes to Moodys by expanding the client base, delivering tailored solutions that address client challenges, and enhancing adoption of innovative products and services. By joining this team, you will engage in consultative sales, market insights, and strategic client engagement across diverse industries including Technology, Media & Telecom, Energy, Life Sciences, and more.


For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $94,500.00 - $137,100.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moodys also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
