Description:

The Analyst will provide analytical, strategic and content development support to the Head of Banking and the Banking COO team. The role supports senior management in evaluating business performance, advancing strategic priorities and communicating the divisions strategy internally and externally

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical and project-management support for strategic growth initiatives, including coverage and client strategy, market and competitive landscape assessments, business planning and new-product and sector initiatives
  • Support the development of content, research, analysis and presentations for town halls, senior leadership meetings, client events, external speaking engagements and other special events
  • Monitor relevant market, industry, competitor and regulatory developments and assess their potential implications for the Banking division, clients and strategic priorities
  • Develop financial models and presentations used to evaluate divisional and group-specific performance, identify trends and support senior management decision-making
  • Support marketing the growth of the Banking Division through monthly maintenance of division credentials for pitches and the review and timely distribution of deal announcements following marquee wins
  • Support the automation of routine reports through coordination with IT
  • Coordinate semiannual business reviews for banking groups and track action plans and follow-up items
  • Conduct ad hoc financial, strategic and operational analyses in response to senior management priorities and emerging business needs
  • Assist in translating complex financial, market and industry information into clear and concise materials for senior leaders and broader internal and external audiences

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or another business-related discipline
  • 1-3 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting or a related strategic/business analysis role at a leading firm
  • High proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, Dealogic, Capital IQ, PitchBook, Salesforce, FactSet and Power BI
  • Familiarity with Claude, AI prompting techniques and review guardrails to optimize efficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Working knowledge of investment and corporate banking or the ability to quickly develop industry expertise
  • Sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and ownership of deliverables
  • Collaborative team player
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work weekends when necessary

The expected base salary for this role will be in the range of $95k-$110k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
