Meet the Team
The Tax Department operates as a best-in-class global team that proactively partners with stakeholders across the firm to identify and manage tax risk, provide sound and practical advice, and deliver high-quality tax operations, planning, compliance, reporting, and advisory services. In a dynamic global environment, the team is focused on ensuring timely filings and payments while continually enhancing substantive and process efficiency across all areas of tax.
What You'll Do
Prepare monthly and annual sales tax and property tax returns, and support refund claims and tax audits
Prepare the annual FBAR filing and quarterly and annual ASC 740 analyses of tax positions and liabilities for audited financial statements
Monitor the firms risk profile related to investments that may generate U.S. trade or business income
Partner with Compliance and Risk Controls to help assess and mitigate potential tax implications for external investors
Prepare U.S. tax withholding documentation, including Forms W-9 and W-8IMY, FATCA/CRS self-certifications, and FATCA registrations
Review the tax implications of corporate actions, including mergers and tender offers, and communicate relevant considerations to the business
Prepare period-end close and reporting activities for the U.S. withholding tax process
Identify process improvement opportunities and support tax automation, reporting, and analysis initiatives that add value to the business
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance within a public accounting firm or the financial services or asset management industry
Bachelors degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
U.S. tax experience
Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive workstreams forward with limited oversight
Experience collaborating with remote teams across multiple time zones
Strong ability to prioritize effectively, manage competing deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and integrity
Advanced analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and Excel skills with a strong client service mindset
