Meet the Team
Core to the health and growth of our business, Millenniums active, multi-manager business model depends on flexible, scalable technology and advanced proprietary systems. Within that environment, the Latency Critical Trading team delivers high-performance trading capabilities through core infrastructure, software development, automation, security, and cloud-based services. The team brings together experienced C++, Linux, networking, and SRE professionals focused on building a stable, high-performing platform for portfolio managers, researchers, and technologists, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, technical excellence, and collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Support and maintain Linux, virtualization, and related infrastructure as part of a globally deployed engineering team
- Build, operate, and continuously improve a high-performance, low-latency trading platform in partnership with infrastructure and application support teams
- Identify, prioritize, and resolve complex incidents and service requests, while proactively addressing root causes to prevent recurrence
- Gather requirements, evaluate technical options, and implement solutions aligned with business and platform needs
- Monitor platform health and performance, investigate latency and performance issues using diagnostic tools, and drive remediation
- Deliver stable, repeatable, and high-performing Linux systems through automation and code-driven engineering practices
- Lead technical discussions, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and partner across engineering, development, and business teams to solve complex problems
- Produce clear documentation, guide teammates on low-latency and high-performance computing concepts, and participate in off-hours on-call support as needed
What You Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in financial technology services, including 3+ years supporting low-latency trading systems and scalable infrastructure
- Deep Linux systems engineering expertise, including performance tuning, low-latency networking, Solarflare OpenOnload, multicast networking, cgroups/cpusets, kernel parameters, and BIOS-level tuning
- Hands-on experience with enterprise server platforms, VMware ESXi/vCenter, networking, DNS, and time-synchronization services including NTP, PTP, PPS, and WR
- NVIDIA GPU/CUDA experience for Linux infrastructure and performance-sensitive workloads
- Experience using AI assistants in daily engineering work, including troubleshooting, coding/scripting, terminal workflows, and operational automation
- Strong Python and Bash scripting skills, with Ansible configuration-management experience; Chef, Puppet, and Terraform are a plus
- Proven ability to troubleshoot across the technology stack, coordinate production changes across teams, and maintain clear documentation and operational excellence in fast-paced environments
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldor equivalent practical experience; RHCE, cloud-platform experience, and WindowsLinux interoperability exposure are a plus
