Role Summary
Are you an ambitious, proactive individual with a strong interest in sales and the energy industry? We are seeking a driven talent to join our team as Junior Energy Broker. In this role, you will be trained to build relationships and arrange transactions between Marexs clients in European power and gas. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales-driven individual to develop expertise in energy brokerage while making a significant impact on the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in arranging transactions in energy commodities, focusing on European power & gas.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including banks, hedge funds, trading houses, and corporates in the European market.
- Support the onboarding of new clients and ensure ongoing relationship management.
- Assist in client communication, providing regular updates and ensuring satisfaction.
- Develop strategies to increase profit and growth by analyzing market trends and products.
- Contribute to process improvements and assist in the development of new frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Operations and Technology, to support trading functions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Uphold high standards of integrity and professionalism in line with company values and policies.
- Ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility
- Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
- Escalate risk events immediately
- Provide input to risk management processes, as required.
- Experience/knowledge of working in a regulated financial services environment with a good knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.

- A basic understanding of financial markets and regulatory requirements (training will be provided).
- Ability to speak a European language, in addition to English, would be an advantage.
