The Finance Broker Dealer Department at Marex plays a critical role in supporting the firms capital markets activities by delivering accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and effective financial governance across brokerdealer operations. As part of a centralized Finance function, the team partners closely with front office, operations, risk, and treasury to support daily reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis across a wide range of capital markets products. This department not only provides strategic oversight and guidance to business units but also establishes the minimum required standards for financial practices, reinforcing Marexs commitment to transparency, consistency, and operational excellence throughout its global footprint.

Purpose of Role

The Finance Broker Dealer Analyst is responsible for supporting financial reporting and control activities across Marexs brokerdealer businesses, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role will focus on daytoday reporting, reconciliations, balance sheet substantiation, and analysis, while providing additional capacity to the team and enabling senior members to focus on review, oversight, and stakeholder engagement.

In todays fastpaced and highly regulated capital markets environment, robust financial controls and timely reporting are essential to maintaining confidence and compliance. By delivering reliable reporting and supporting core finance processes, the Finance team enables informed decisionmaking and reinforces the firms commitment to strong governance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

 Substantiate and reconcile relevant balance sheet accounts, ensuring Group revenue and associated costs are accurately reflected.

  • Support daily and monthly financial reporting activities, including reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation for brokerdealer operations.
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing desk P&L and expense accruals, supporting accurate reflection of trading activity and costs.
  • Identify and investigate data discrepancies or breaks, working with front office, operations, and finance teams to support resolution.
  • Support regulatory and management reporting, contributing to liquidity, working capital, and financial control processes.
  • Develop a strong understanding of brokerdealer finance processes and controls, applying this knowledge to support consistent execution and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on financial standards and industry best practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with the companys regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges and regulatory bodies.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
