What role will you play?

As a hands-on Java Engineer, you will contribute to the development of our next-generation platforms. You will bring your passion for engineering and technology to solve business problems and deliver high-quality software solutions within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Working closely with engineers, product managers and business stakeholders, you will design, develop and support cloud-native applications while continuously improving your technical capability and contributing to engineering excellence within the team.

You will contribute across the full technology stack, Java and Spring Boot services, APIs and supporting data layers. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building modern software solutions, learning new technologies and delivering meaningful outcomes for customers.

  • Strong technical background (preferably Java based software engineering)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with proven success at delivering complex engineering initiatives
  • Product company experience with an understanding of how to build great products in an Agile environment
  • Solid understanding of how to build scalable, maintainable and performant web applications
  • Computer science education or equivalent experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organisation
  • Writing code for multiple services, creating designs and reviewing PRs
  • Experience with AI technologies including AI agents and related tools.
  • Identifying and simplifying complex services and processes
  • Exploring new technology and vendor capabilities that greatly benefit the team and clients
  • Design and implementation of engineering initiatives across multiple teams and/or platforms
  • Working with engineering leaders, product managers and other engineers to deliver solutions
  • Ensuring high code quality, testing and security standards are a non-negotiable in the team culture
  • Accountable for the reliability and uptime of the applications
  • Participate in incident management and show ownership when there are problems in your space
  • Running post-mortems and ensuring any actions are completed to ensure the applications are improving over time.
