What role will you play?

In this role, you will lead the embedment of Group risk frameworks and requirements within Macquarie Capital, while designing, implementing and maintaining Macquarie Capital-specific non-financial risk frameworks, standards and guidance where business-specific requirements exist.

You will drive consistent and effective risk management practices across Macquarie Capital, ensuring risk frameworks are effectively operationalised, embedded within business processes, and supported by appropriate governance, reporting, insights, tooling and capability uplift initiatives.

Working closely with Business, Risk, Compliance and Accountability teams, you will strengthen risk ownership and capability, support regulatory and strategic priorities, and ensure alignment between Group requirements and Macquarie Capital's operating environment to enable safe, sustainable and well-controlled business outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience in operational risk, compliance, or non-financial risk management within financial services or another regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of risk and control self-assessments, incident and issue management, and conduct risk.
  • Experience developing risk governance materials, including risk appetite metrics and conduct reporting.
  • Ability to analyse complex information, identify root causes, and deliver clear, practical insights and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build effective relationships across business and risk teams
  • Well-developed judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
