- A proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, high-performance systems that are both robust and scalable.
- In-depth and expert-level, hands-on experience working with Java and Spring Boot, coupled with experience in cloud technologies (GCP and AWS).
- Deep knowledge of microservices, event-based architecture, design, and integration patterns.
- Solid understanding of how to build scalable, maintainable, and performant payment orchestration across multiple channels.
- Proven experience in leveraging AI throughout the SDLC, including hands-on application of spec-driven development.
- Demonstrated experience with modern AI development tools, including AI coding assistants and command-line interfaces (e.g., roo code, Claude Code, Gemini CLI).
- Strong understanding of security best practices for financial transactions and payments.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving complex engineering initiatives. Experience in leading a project or a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Ability to drive key architecture and design decisions across a team or platform.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to all levels of the organisation.
