Join Macquarie Capitals Equity Capital Markets team in Hong Kong and play a leading role in originating and executing equity and equity-linked transactions across Asia. Working closely with Coverage, CAS, and industry teams, you will advise clients on strategic capital raising opportunities while helping drive the growth of our ECM franchise across key sectors and markets.

What role will you play?

As an Associate Director within Equity Capital Markets, you will originate, structure, market and execute a broad range of equity transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, accelerated placements, block trades, convertible bonds and other equity-linked solutions.

You will work closely with senior bankers, corporate clients, financial sponsors and institutional investors across Asia, providing strategic advice on capital raising, market positioning and execution considerations. In addition, you will:

  • Lead transaction execution and coordinate cross-functional deal teams across product, legal, compliance and operations functions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, sponsors and key market participants.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality client presentations, transaction analyses and market updates.
  • Evaluate market conditions, investor sentiment and sector trends to identify opportunities for clients.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members while contributing to the broader growth of the ECM platform.
  • Partner with Coverage and sector teams to originate new business and deepen existing client relationships.

  • 812+ years of relevant experience in Equity Capital Markets, investment banking, corporate finance or capital markets advisory.
  • Strong track record of executing IPOs, secondary offerings, equity-linked transactions and other capital raising mandates.
  • Deep understanding of China and Asia-Pacific equity capital markets, regulatory frameworks and investor dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial analysis, valuation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
  • Established relationships across corporate issuers, institutional investors and market intermediaries would be advantageous.
