We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and join the Macquarie team as a Director for Data and AI. This role will serve as the leader on the ground for our Gurugram and Hyderabad-based Data and AI functions, leading a multidisciplinary team of data managers, data scientists, data operations specialists, and reporting teams.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will empower, and provide leadership to a high performing team, cultivating technical excellence, valuing diversity of thought, and fostering an environment that embraces considered innovation and experimentation. Leveraging advanced machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and large language models (LLMs), you will translate complex business challenges into scalable, production-grade solutions, serving regional stakeholders in Enterprise, Finance, Risk, and Legal functions.

  • Deep expertise in Python, NLP, and delivering data science/AI solutions with measurable business impact
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI platforms (e.g., Google Gemini, ADK) and ability to translate ML/AI value for senior leadership
  • Advanced qualifications (Masters/PhD preferred) in a relevant field, with Private Markets or Private Credit experience highly regarded
