Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable, high-quality in-house software applications and services.
  • Participate actively in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, requirement analysis, design discussions, code reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with project leads, architects, and team members to identify technical challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, scalability concerns, and system vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to ensure application health and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to system architecture discussions and recommend improvements to software design and development processes.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and development tools to drive innovation and product improvements.
  • Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and other generative AI technologies to improve developer productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and automation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience using C++ (preferred), C#, .NET, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of C++ fundamentals, including memory management, pointers, object lifecycle, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience working in Linux environments, including shell scripting, Bash, Cron jobs, and system troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Good understanding of source control and collaborative development practices using Git and related tools.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps principles.
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar developer productivity solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
  • Experience developing and maintaining serverless applications using AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience building high-availability, fault-tolerant, and scalable distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
