Full Job Description

The Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving growth of LSEG Data & Analytics Investment Banking proposition across the Deal-making and Advisory, Sell-Side Research and Private Equity workflow communities. This includes M&A advisory firms, capital markets and boutiques. The role is a quota-bearing, consultative sales position. We are seeking a seller with hunter mentality, commercial discipline, credibility with front-office advisory professionals, and the ability to win competitive displacements, in a complex matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

New Business & Revenue Growth

  • Own and execute the go-to-market gross sales plan across clients within a defined territory as well as net new logos.

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, discovery, solution design, commercial negotiation and close

  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline with accurate forecasting

Client Engagement & Proposition Selling

  • Develop relationships and engage with senior business stakeholders at the clients

  • Deliver compelling demonstrations of LSEGs Investment Banking workflows and datasets

  • Translate client business needs and workflows into commercially compelling value propositions

Competitive Displacement & Market Intelligence

  • Develop strategies to win against competing platforms

  • Provide structured feedback to product and proposition teams

Matrix Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Account Management, Product, Marketing and Customer Success teams

  • Act as a subject matter expert within the Investment Banking proposition

Candidate Profile:

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling financial data, analytics or workflow solutions

  • Previous sales experience at other data and analytics vendors strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to sell into investment banking and/or advisory clients

Skills & Mindset

  • Strong hunter mentality and commercial drive

  • Comfort selling to sophisticated, front-office stakeholders

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Languages

  • Fluent English & German required
  • French preferable
