Job Title: 1st Line Financial Crime Controls Senior Manager

Grade: 14

Location: London/UK

Role Summary:

Do you have a passion for making financial markets safer and more resilient to financial crime?

 

In this newly created role you'll be responsible for identifying, managing and evidencing financial crime risks in line with regulatory requirements and group-wide financial crime policies. This is key to ensuring we embed risk management across all material risk types into the fabric of the Data & Analytics (D&A) division, increasing our risk awareness and culture.

 

The position will report to the Head of risk and resilience . The team works to drive the alignment to risk management policies and implement harmonised processes to promote the development of a strong risk culture within D&A.

 

This role acts as the bridge between product, Sales, operations teams and the 2nd Line Financial Crime function, ensuring high-quality delivery, risk transparency, and timelyquality delivery, risk transparency, and timely remediation of issues.

 

 

What you'll be doing:

 

Act as the financial crime subject matter expert in D&A where youll be:

Embedding financial crime risk management practices across D&A and executing financial crime controls on behalf of D&A business units

Improving our oversight of delegated financial crime controls and processes across LSEG including AML/KYC, Sanctions, Fraud and CTF.

Ensuring clear accountability and ownership of financial crime controls and risks across D&A

Performing and maintaining financial crime and fraud risk assessments

Supporting financial crime training and SME guidance to D&A businesses.

Represent D&A in LSEG-wide financial crime remediation and transformation programmes

 

As part of broader First of Line of Defence team youll be

 

Producing financial crime MI, reporting and updates for governance forums

Preparing and coordinating financial crime risk reporting and updates to governance forums

help promote a strong financial crime risk culture

coordinating and respond to Second Line reviews, internal audits, and external regulatory assessments!

 

 

What you'll bring

  • You'll be a risk or compliance professional, ideally with strong working knowledge of key financial crime domains (AML, fraud, sanctions, ABC, KYC/CDD, screening).
  • Proficient presentation and influencing skills will be key to navigate a matrix organisation across three lines of defence.
  • There will be autonomy to develop our approach to key areas of the risk framework, so we're looking for a motivated self-starter!

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated annual gross base salary for this position is between 222,400 z - 351,600 z. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Bonus Plan (bonus plan). Target Bonus % will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job-related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
