We're looking for an experienced Senior Colleague Relations Manager to join our high-profile team. In this role, you'll shape and deliver innovative colleague and industrial relations strategies, helping to build trust, support complex change, and create an inclusive colleague experience. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you'll provide expert advice on industrial relations, employee relations and engagement, negotiate and consult with recognised unions and People Forums representing around 33,000 colleagues (Grade A-C), and help drive positive outcomes for both our people and the organisation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Shape colleague relations strategy and influence key people policies.

  • Lead trusted partnerships with unions, People Forums and senior stakeholders.

  • Guide complex change with expert industrial and employment relations advice.

  • Use insight and data to drive informed decisions and better outcomes.

  • Champion continuous improvement and innovative ways of working.

  • Deliver high-impact projects that support colleagues and the business.

  • Manage risk and navigate complex challenges with confidence and credibility.

  • Coach and develop others, building capability across the organisation.

  • Strong knowledge and experience of industrial relations law, employment law, best practice and knowledge of ACAS Codes of Practice to shape propositions, responses and direction.

  • Keeps on top of changes in the external industrial relations and employment law practices, bringing insight and knowledge of practices to shape strategy and approach. Has a good external network.

  • Confident in using and analysing data to shape recommendations and responses to different situations impacting on the business.

  • Proven experience in delivering large and complex programmes of work, working with teams of subject matter experts from across the business.

  • Experience in development of functional or operational policies, including creation of underlying procedures and monitoring implementation.

  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
