KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, and manage SQL-based logic and DDL/DML in PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Databricks to support data transformation and integration efforts
• Design and implement OLTP and OLAP solutions, optimizing for performance and scalability
• Utilize data wrangling tools and coding languages such as Python and SQL to extract valuable insights from data through analytics
• Assist in technical processes from ideation to delivery:  Research, experiment, and utilizing data methodologies to build pipelines / scalable analytic tools using leading technologies
• Execute data operations essential for analysis, including tasks such as data cleansing, data integration, and data transformation
• Develop data engineering designs and translate efforts between business / technical stakeholders
• Monitor performance and reliability of data systems, identifying / resolving issues while proactively optimizing logic and model performance by code tuning, streamlining, resource allocation

Qualifications:

• A minimum of three years of technical data engineering experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
• Experience with programming languages (Python, SQL, R, Alteryx, SAS or other commonly used software)
• Experience creating, deploying, and maintaining enterprise data modules using software such as ER/Studio or Erwin
• Experience with data processing / ETL knowledge:  Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and tools for data ingestion, integration, transformation 
• Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
• Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
